In Japanese, we can express this by attaching \u300c\u3055\u3048\u300d to the object or verb that miserably failed to reach what one would consider to be a bare minimum requirement. Conversely, you can also use the same grammar in a positive sense to express something is all you need.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sumbox\">\n<span class=\"summary\">Using \u300c\uff08\u3067\uff09\u3055\u3048\u300d to describe the minimum requirement<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"plain\">\n<li><b>For nouns:<\/b> Attach \u300c\u3055\u3048\u300d or \u300c\u3067\u3055\u3048\u300d to the minimum requirement.<br \/>\nExamples<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u79c1<em>\u3055\u3048<\/em> &#8211; even me<\/li>\n<li>\u5b50\u4f9b<em>\u3067\u3055\u3048<\/em> &#8211; even children<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>For verbs:<\/b> Change the verb to the stem and attach \u300c\u3055\u3048\u300d. There are no grammatical differences but it does sound a bit more emphatic.\n<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u79c1<em>\u3067\u3055\u3048<\/em>\u51fa\u6765\u308c\u3070\u3001\u3042\u3093\u305f\u306b\u306f\u697d\u3061\u3093\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<br \/>\nIf even I can do it, it should be a breeze for you.\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You can also attach \u300c\u3055\u3048\u300d to the stem of verbs to express a minimum action for a result. This is usually followed up immediately by \u300c\u3059\u308b\u300d to show that the minimum action is done (or not). However, in this case, you&#8217;re not making fun of something, rather by using \u300c\u304a\u308d\u304b\u300d, you can indicate that something is so ridiculous that it&#8217;s not even worth considering. In English, we might say something like, &#8220;Are you kidding?
