Things of no consequence<\/h2>\n

The expressions “even if”, “regardless”, or “no matter” are used when something is of no consequence to something else. In Japanese, the same notion is expressed by combining the te-form with the \u300c\u3082\u300d inclusive particle.<\/p>\n

      Asking for permission<\/h2>\n

      We can also ask for or grant permission by saying it’s ok or fine even if we do a certain action using the same \u300c\uff5e\u3066\u3082\uff0f\uff5e\u3067\u3082\u300d grammar.<\/p>\n

      2. \u304a\u59c9\u3055\u3093\u304c\u3001\u98df\u3079\u3066\u3082\u3044\u3044<\/em>\u3068\u8a00\u3063\u305f\u3088\u3002
        \nOlder sister said it’s fine to eat (it).<\/li>\n
      3. \u9045\u304f\u3066\u3082<\/em>\u6765\u9031\u307e\u3067\u306f\u5927\u4e08\u592b<\/em>\u3060\u3002
        \nEven if it’s late, it’s fine until next week.<\/li>\n
      4. \u8eab\u5206\u8a3c\u306f\u3001\u5b66\u751f\u8a3c\u3067\u3082\u5927\u4e08\u592b<\/em>\u3067\u3059\u304b\u3002
        \nAs for identification, it is ok even if it’s (a) student id?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Things we don’t have to do<\/h2>\n

        If we say it’s ok or fine even if we don’t<\/b> do something by using the negative form, it means we don’t have to do it.<\/p>\n
