It can also be used with the te-form of a verb to request an action. It can be written in either Kanji or Hiragana though it&#8217;s more common to use Hiragana when combined with a verb.<\/p>\n<h3>Example<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>\u3042\u306e\u30da\u30f3\u3092<em>\u4e0b\u3055\u3044<\/em>\u3002<br \/>\nPlease give me that pen.<\/li>\n<li>\u3042\u306e\u30da\u30f3\u3092<em>\u4f7f\u3063\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044<\/em>\u3002<br \/>\nPlease use that pen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Negative verb with \u300c\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044\u300d<\/h3>\n<p>In order to ask to not do something, take the negative of the word, attach \u300c\u3067\u300d, then attach \u300c\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044\u300d similar to the rule we learned in the last section.<\/p>\n<h3>Example<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>\u30dc\u30fc\u30eb\u30da\u30f3\u306f<em>\u4f7f\u308f\u306a\u3044\u3067\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044<\/em>\u3002<br \/>\nPlease don&#8217;t use (a) pen.<\/li>\n<li>\u7740\u66ff\u3048\u4e2d\u3067\u3059\u304b\u3089<em>\u5165\u3089\u306a\u3044\u3067\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044<\/em>\u3002<br \/>\n(I&#8217;m) changing so please don&#8217;t come in.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Casual version of \u300c\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044\u300d<\/h3>\n<p>\u300c\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044\u300d is a polite expression so in order to say the same thing for casual situation, we can simply drop \u300c\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044\u300d entirely.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u3042\u306e\u30da\u30f3\u3092<em>\u4f7f\u3063\u3066<\/em>\u3002<br \/>\nPlease use that pen.<\/li>\n<li>\u30dc\u30fc\u30eb\u30da\u30f3\u306f<em>\u4f7f\u308f\u306a\u3044\u3067<\/em>\u3002<br \/>\nPlease don&#8217;t use (a) pen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Using \u300c\u3061\u3087\u3046\u3060\u3044\u300d for casual requests<\/h2>\n<p>\u300c\u3061\u3087\u3046\u3060\u3044\u300d can be used instead of \u300c\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044\u300d for casual speech.
